My thoughts on Windows Live Writer

I’ve started using Windows Live Writer (WLW) about two weeks ago and I’s say it’s a pretty good tool. Despite the fact it is still in beta, I’ve had no crashes and the performance is roughly what you’d expect from an application this small – damn good!

The only shortcoming I have discovered so far is not being able to specify a new post category. For some reason I can only choose one or more of the existing ones. I do like the extensibility model (although it’s not an area I had a chance to explore).

Now that I’ve started Level 2 of the CS degree, hopefully, I will find some time to look into this…
